Taekwondo: Learn The ‘Theory Of Power’ with One Step

The evolution of Taekwondo started with its creator Choi Hong Hi, who developed Taekwondo based on the underlying principles, namely Biomechanics, Newtonian Physics, and Chinese Martial Arts, as well. The key principle behind Taekwondo has science-backed benefits and is known to be: “the kinetic energy of a strike increases quadratically with the speed of the strike, but improves linearly with the mass of the striking object. In other words, speed is more important than size in terms of generating power.”! This is known as the Theory Of Power!! Instilling the theory of power is thus crucial for the health benefits of the populace. The Kukkiwon-style Taekwondo that initially originated as a Korean martial art, is marked distinctive by its unique head-height kicks, jumping spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques. Being a combating sport in the 1940s and the 1950s, Taekwondo commonly adopts stances and movements that are lean, slender, and taller than the broader, wide stances and movements used by martial arts such as karate.

Taekwondo To Promoting A Healthy Lifestyle:

Like many individual sports, Taekwondo students often set measurable personal goals. At One, our expert trainers are well-qualified to train our candidates in Taekwondo that sets a colored belt system of ranking. Each belt represents a certain level of proficiency and often requires some test or qualifying examination to obtain. Seeing other students wearing higher-ranking belts often compels kids to strive for the next level.

At Jeong Ui, we promote the candidate’s ranking fuel determination, as well as the physical demands of martial arts in being able to develop their ability to sweat, strain, and push themselves beyond their limits. We engage them in group conditioning such as push-ups or grappling with a classmate for a three-minute practice round, and they quickly learn to force themselves to work harder than ever before.

Enhancing Mental Health Through Taekwondo from One Step:

In addition to improving physical health, Taekwondo has also been known to improve mental health due to its impact on self-esteem, confidence, focus, concentration, and self-discipline, and the overall mental health of your child. Taekwondo can be practiced by individuals of all ages beginning at the age of three. Your child will learn to punch, kick, grapple, block, and more, as opposed to youth basketball or swimming lessons. Though martial arts are practiced in a controlled and monitored environment, their nature is aggressive to some degree.

Taekwondo Training For Kids, Parents, And Everyone:

In addition to the physical health improvements, Taekwondo is also known to benefit mental health through increased confidence, improved self-esteem, focus, concentration levels and self-discipline. Taekwondo is also suitable for all ages from 3 onwards! Unlike youth basketball or swimming lessons, your child will learn to punch, kick, grapple, block, and more. Even though it takes place in a controlled and monitored environment, the very nature of martial arts is, to various degrees, aggressive.
